FAQs
What is a PCV Breather (Delete) & Why should you do it?
A PCV Breather (Delete) deletes the PCV by blocking/plugging the head-ports. With the stock PCV, the crankcase gases are cycled back into the motor but as you increase boost, you will also increase crankcase pressure which increases the chances of blow-by. Blow-by is essentially the oil that makes it past your PCV system and ends up in your intake piping. From there it makes its way through your turbo and into your chargepipe and then ultimately makes it back into your motor on the injector side. It will then mix with your fuel and degrade your fuel octane. This is BAD! This can lead to pre-detonation which can cause misfires under load. By deleting the PCV, you are now venting the crankcase gases externally and like the common saying, pressure burst pipes so with less pressure in the system, the motor will run a lot better!
Are there any drawbacks to deleting the PCV?
For most cars, deleting the PCV has zero drawbacks but for very few cars there is a chance of having excess smoke from the exhaust. The level of smoke varies and can either be a little and intermittent to a lot and all the time. While not ideal, deleting the PCV will NOT cause your car to burn oil. If you are experiencing oil burning issues, it is more than likely turbo or something else going on with your motor.
If you experience smoking from your exhaust after deleting the PCV, a simple fix is to add vacuum back into the crankcase. To do this, you can add an exhaust venturi and if you have our catch can kit, you would route the OCC dump hose directly to the exhaust venturi. If you don't have our VTA OCC then you can route one of the hose from the PCV Breather Cap into the venturi.
The exhaust venturi can be located on Amazon or other online retailers and it will need to be welded to your exhaust in the proper orientation in order for it to work properly.
if you don't want to run the risk of excess smoke from your exhaust but still want to delete the PCV, your best bet is to purchase our Check Valve Inserts or our VU Breather Kit! These two options will allow vacuum in the crankcase during idle to help against the excess smoking but they will delete the PCV under boost so that boost pressure never enters your crankcase!
What are your payment options?
Currently I only accept WixPayments which is fully PCI DSS compliant. PCI DSS is the highest information security standard for companies accepting credit card payments. It's also PSD2 SCA compliant, which is important for European merchants.
When will my items ship?
In most cases, when an order is placed, items are shipped through USPS, UPS, or DHL within 5 business days. In some cases it can however, take up to 10 business days to ship.
Please keep in mind that I am a one man team and some items in an order are made/assembled only after purchase. In the event there is a longer than expected delay, I will reach out to you and keep you updated along the way! Your business and patience is greatly appreciated!
What is your return policy?
Returns are NOT accepted outside of manufacturer defects or errors on our end but in the rare instances where a return is approved, you will have 14 days from the day your order was delivered to request a refund. If approved, you will have 7 days or the remainder of the 14 days (whichever is longer) to provide us with the return tracking information. Once those 14 days have passed then the return window will be permanently closed. Again, the time limit is 14 days so once 15+ days pass, the return window is PERMANENTLY CLOSED! Tracking information needs to show return was dropped off/scanned within the 14 day period or the return will be DENIED and returned back to sender (YOU).
Sale items (Purchases made using a coupon code) are not eligible for returns. Returns not related to manufacturer defects or errors on our end are subject to a 25% restocking fee.
Damaged caused by the buyer (YOU) will not be covered under any type of warranty.
Damage during shipping claims must be made within 24 hours of receiving item with pictures of damaged packaging as well as damaged item. If the package is not insured then this will be YOUR responsibility. YOU will need to reach out to the shipping company and file a claim. If your order is insured then the 24 hour rule applies.
All return shipping will be the responsibility of the buyer (YOU).
Do your products come with warranty?
Absolutely! Any and every product that I sell, regardless if it is B58 related or not, will come with warranty. Most items will come with a 1-Year warranty and this will cover any manufacturer defects as well as failures related to those manufacturer defects. In an instance that something goes on clearance, it will only have a 90-Day manufacturer defects warranty.
In the event of a warranty claim, please go to the contact section and send me an email including pictures as well as your order number. I will send you an RMA# and return address. Include that RMA# in the package and send it back to me ASAP for further inspection. If it is determined to be a manufacture's defect, I will either replace the item and pay the return postage to you; or if the item is no longer in stock, I will refund you the original amount minus any shipping cost.
Please keep in mind you will be responsible for any shipping cost to me for ANY claim and if upon further inspection it is determined the item was damaged by you, the item will not be warrantied and you will be responsible for the return shipping back to yourself. Items in this instance will be held for 30 days before they are discarded.
